KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 183,852 tonnes of cargo comprising 98,866 tonnes of import cargo and 84,986 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 98,866 tonnes comprised of 41,733 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 5,069 tonnes of Lentils, 110,568 tonnes of Rock Phosphate & 41,496 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 84,986 tonnes comprised of 53,951 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 382 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 30,422 tonnes of Clinkers, 160 tonnes of Liquid Cargo & 71 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
As many as, 03 ships namely, Spirit of Bertram, Portland, MT Karachi & Forever Happy berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Around, 04 ships namely, Chemroad Sirus, Cecilie F, Hmm Ocean & Portland Iii sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of nine ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a General cargo carrier ‘Giovanni Topic’ & three more ships, Asian Peral, EVA Hong Kong and GFS Genesis are expected to sail on Wednesday afternoon.
Cargo volume of 253,419 tonnes, comprising 198,933 tonnes imports cargo and54,486 export cargo carried in 3,904 Containers (1,286 TEUs Imports & 2,618 TEUs Export)was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 13 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them five ships, Manina, M Bristol, Gas Aurora, Parvaj and Ren Jian-26 & two more ships, Spirit of Bertram and CMA CGM Passion scheduled to load/offload Cement, Palm oil, LPG, Coal and Container expected to take berths at MW-1, LCT, EVTL, PIBT and QICT on Wednesday 28th January, 2026.
