KARACHI: Sindh Cabinet, on Tuesday, approved reconstitution of the governing body of Workers Welfare Board, Sindh.
WWBS has been reactivated for welfare schemes of registered workers.
The previous term of the board ended on August 22, 2025. The new board will be headed by the Minister for Labour and Human Resources. It will include representatives of the Secretary Labour, Secretary Finance and the Sindh Revenue Board.
The cabinet approved four representatives from the employer side
It also nominated four labour representatives to protect the interests of the workers.The board was formed in accordance with the Sindh Workers Welfare Fund Act 2014. The board will monitor welfare projects and ensure effective use of welfare fund.
