LAHORE: The Pakistan Dairy Association (PDA) lauded the efforts of the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) under the Safe Milk Campaign to ensure safe, nutritious, and hygienic milk for the citizens of Punjab.
PDA CEO Dr. Shehzad Amin said PFA vision to provide safe and nutritious milk to every household in Punjab is not only timely but essential for safeguarding the health of future generations. The Safe Milk Campaign is a bold and commendable initiative that reflects PFA’s clear resolve, backed by the Government of Punjab, to protect public health and strengthen food safety systems, Dr. Amin said.
He added that according to details, PFA conducted a province-wide crackdown against milk adulteration under the Safe Milk Campaign 2025 to ensure consumer safety. These efforts included testing over 70,000 litres of milk entering Lahore, leading to the disposal of 8,000 litres found adulterated.
PDA also appreciated the Government of Punjab for expanding the Chief Minister School Nutrition Program to 11 districts, calling it a landmark intervention for addressing child malnutrition and improving learning outcomes. Providing safe and nutritious milk to schoolchildren is a transformative step that will directly strengthen physical growth, cognitive development, and long-term national productivity. “Such initiatives reflect the Chief Minister Punjab’s deep commitment to investing in the health of our children and securing Pakistan’s future,” said Dr. Amin.
