LONDON: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday left his residence in central London to begin his journey back to Pakistan, bringing his four-day stay in the British capital to a close.
PM Sharif arrived in London on Thursday after attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, where he held talks with global leaders and investors.
During his time in London, the prime minister had a packed schedule. He met with various delegations, underwent a medical check-up and held discussions with members of the Pakistani business community and digital currency experts at the Pakistan High Commission.
Officials said PM Sharif is expected to make a final call on matters related to Pakistan’s participation in the upcoming T20 World Cup after returning home.
Government sources said the visit aimed to strengthen ties with overseas Pakistanis and explore new avenues for economic cooperation, as the prime minister sought to hit the ground running on his return.
