HANOI: Vietnam coffee prices firmed this week as supplies stayed tight even at the peak of harvest, with farmers holding back sales, while premiums in Indonesia were unchanged as weather conditions became more favourable for trees, traders said on Thursday.
In the Central Highlands, farmers sold beans at 99,500 dong to 100,200 dong (USA3.79 to USA3.82) per kg, up from last week’s 98,300 to 98,800 dong.
Robusta coffee for March delivery settled up USA137 at USA4,078, as of Wednesday’s close, its highest level since December 12, according to LSEG data.
