KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 122,966 tonnes of cargo comprising 82,043 tonnes of import cargo and 40,923 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 82,043 tonnes comprised of 13,136 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 24,618 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 6,141 tonnes of Canola & 38,148 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 40,923 tonnes comprised of 12,443 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 422 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 4,729 tonnes of Cement, 22,529 tonnes of Clinkers & 800 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Around, 08 ships namely Kouros Glory, Hui Fa, Carl Schulte, Dsi Aquila, Oocl Dalian, One Reinforcement, Maria Ath & Don Juan berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Approximately, 03 ships namely Xin Run Chen 6, Sea Stride & Hg Sangunto sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of ten ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them six ships, APL Oregon, Hansa Africa, GFS Giselle, PVT Jupitor, Al-Soor-II and Efe Bosphourus are expected to sail on Thursday.
Cargo volume of 203,711 tonnes, comprising 134,644 tonnes imports cargo and 69,067 export cargo carried in 8,086 Containers (4,626 TEUs Imports & 3,460 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 16 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them three ships, City Island, Torm Innovation and Wadi Al-Sail & another ship ‘MSC Roshney’ carrying Palm oil, Gasoline, LNG and Container expected to take berths at LCT, FOTCO, EETL and QICT on Thursday 22ndJanuary, 2026.
