FAISALABAD: Government College University Faisalabad hosted Stetson Sanders, US Consul General in Lahore, along with Raquel J. King-Nicudemus, Public Diplomacy Officer at the US Consulate, during their visit to the university’s Lincoln Corner and Business Incubation Centre.
Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rauf-i-Azam warmly welcomed the guests and highlighted the university’s commitment to strengthening academic, entrepreneurial and cross-cultural engagement.
During his visit to the Business Incubation Centre, the US Consul General toured various stalls showcasing locally manufactured products and technology-driven projects developed by students and young entrepreneurs.
At Lincoln Corner, Sanders held an interactive session with students, focusing on educational opportunities, cross-cultural exchange programmes and leadership development.
He termed Lincoln Corner a pivotal platform for fostering strong educational and cultural ties between Pakistan and the United States, adding that exchange programmes, academic collaborations and resource-sharing initiatives are empowering students with skills and knowledge for a brighter future.
Prof Dr Rauf-i-Azam emphasized the transformative role of Lincoln Corner in equipping students with modern skills and resources, reaffirming GCUF’s commitment to utilizing the facility for student and faculty training, expanding learning opportunities and enhancing global exposure for the youth of Faisalabad.
