KARACHI: The President of the Sindhi Association of North America, Dr Maqbool Halepoto, General Secretary Asad Ali Shaikh, and the Executive Council have expressed serious concern over the increasing incidents of killing and abductions, and sense of insecurity prevailing in Sindh province.
SANA leaders stated that the recovery of the bodies of Kailash Kolhi in Badin, Nadir Jamali in Dadu, and Ali Baksh Mallah in Thatta within just three to four days is clear evidence of the failure of law enforcement.
Meanwhile, abducted girls, Priya Kumari and Fazila Sarki have not been recovered for long. At the same time, the forced conversion of Hindu girls in Sindh is being encouraged, which is not acceptable.
According to SANA, Sindh has been systematically turned into a hub of feudalism, tribal dominance, corruption, crime, insecurity, lawlessness, and narcotics.
Sindh’s water and lands are being taken away, merit has been destroyed, and many districts are under the control of criminals.
SANA has demanded from the Sindh government and law enforcement agencies to improve law and order, saying otherwise, SANA reserves the right to raise the issues of Sindh at international forums and human rights platforms.
