KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Local Government, Housing and Town Planning, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, on Wednesday, emphasised on truly pursuing the vision and ideologies of the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for an enlightened and prosperous country.

“The leadership, principles and vision of Quaid-e-Azam remain a light for every citizen of Pakistan even today,” he said in his message on birth anniversary of the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and Christmas.

He said that Quaid-e-Azam’s guiding principles of unity, faith and discipline provide a strong foundation for the nation’s building, progress and prosperity.

He said that the father of the nation always stressed the rule of law, social justice and the protection of minority rights. He envisioned the country where every citizen enjoys religious freedom, equal rights and opportunities for progress.

The minister said that in the current circumstances, national unity is indispensable, and through economic stability, promotion of education and investment in modern technology, the country can be put on the path of development.

Quaid-e-Azam’s dream was of a Pakistan based on tolerance, love and justice, and that this day provides an opportunity to renew the resolve to translate his ideals into action and take the country to new heights of progress, he said.

He urged that prioritising national interests over personal interests is the need of the hour, so that the foundation of an economy can be laid, which provides equal opportunities to all segments of society.

Extending congratulations to the Christian community on the occasion of Christmas, the minister said that Pakistan is a country for followers of all religions, and the Christian community has rendered valuable services in the fields of education, health and other sectors.
