KARACHI: The Karachi administration’s campaign against roadside encroachments continues.
The Deputy Commissioners have submitted action reports to the Commissioner Karachi with the details of measures taken to curb encroachments and prevent their recurrence.
Special staffs have also been assigned to monitor areas, where encroachments have been removed, to ensure that the encroachers do not return.
DC South, Javed Nabi Khoso, informed Commissioner Karachi, Syed Hassan Naqvi that Assistant Commissioner Lyari, Nadeem Aurangzeb, on Sunday, removed a long standing Sunday bazaar on one side of the two-way Shah Wali Ullah Road and arrested the infamous Beater who collected money from the encroachers.
The Commissioner directed the DCs to dig out and bring to book the hidden elements behind the city’s encroachments.
