Sindh schools, colleges to remain closed for winter vacations from Dec 22-31
- Education dept announces vacation for all public, private educational institutions
The Sindh government has announced winter vacations for all public and private schools and colleges from December 22 to 31.
Sharing the notifications in this regard on his social media account, Sindh Education Minister Sardar Ali Shah confirmed the vacations.
Through a notification dated December 11, the School Education & Literacy Department stated: “The winter vacation for all public & private educational institutions under the administrative control of School Education & Literacy Department, Government of Sindh, shall commence with effect from December 22 to December 31,” in pursuance of the decision taken in the sub-committee meeting of the Steering Committee on Education.
Sindh Education & Literacy Department Secretary Zahid Ali Abbasi issued the notification.
A similar notification was issued by the Sindh College Education Department pertaining to the vacations for the same duration.
As December 21 is Sunday, when all the educational institutes observe a weekly holiday, students will get a total of 11 holidays.
