BBC News Urdu has launched TV programme Jahan Numa (Window to the World) on Pakistan’s TV channel Aaj News. Broadcast on Aaj News 19:30 local time (14:30 GMT), Monday to Friday, the programme also will be available via BBC News Urdu digital platforms from 20:00 local time (15:00 GMT).

Produced in London, with the BBC’s Khalid Karamat and Samrah Fatima as lead presenters, Jahan Numa showcases BBC News Urdu’s vast network of correspondents. The 18-minute programme brings global and regional news stories – from news and current affairs to climate, science, technology, and culture. The programme’s stories will use verified data and analysis to provide context and relevance to its diverse audiences.
