LAHORE: President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI), Faheem ur Rehman Saigol, has extended warm congratulations to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on his historic appointment as Pakistan’s first Chief of Defence Forces.
He said “this landmark development reflects strong national leadership and will contribute to an environment of strategic stability, which is essential for economic growth, investor confidence, and long-term development.”
The LCCI President stated that institutions responsible for national security play a vital role in ensuring smooth economic activity by safeguarding trade routes, promoting internal peace, and supporting the continuity of industrial operations.
Faheem ur Rehman Saigol emphasized that the nation will always remember Field Marshal Asim Munir’s bold and decisive leadership during times of conflict which not only unified the Armed Forces but also strengthened national morale and secured unprecedented achievements for Pakistan. He noted that a strong defence posture ultimately lays the foundation for a resilient economy.
The LCCI President also congratulated Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu on the extension of his tenure. He appreciated his visionary leadership in further upgrading the capabilities of the Pakistan Air Force, which has successfully enhanced the country’s air defence systems to protect Pakistan’s skies and strategic assets. He said that the professional excellence demonstrated by the Air Force contributes to safeguarding Pakistan’s key economic interests, including trade infrastructure and industrial zones.
Faheem ur Rehman Saigol reiterated that all national institutions are united for the defence, economic advancement, and overall prosperity of Pakistan. He said the business community stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the Armed Forces in their efforts to ensure a secure and economically vibrant Pakistan.
