54th National Day of the United Arab Emirates: Message from Shafqat Ali Khan, Ambassador of Pakistan to the UAE

On behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan, the Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi, and our vibrant Pakistani community in the United Arab Emirates, I extend my sincere and heartfelt congratulations to the leadership, citizens, and residents of the UAE on the 54th National Day, “Eid Al Etihad.”

Since its unification, the UAE has undergone extraordinary transformation, emerging as a global symbol of unity, tolerance, innovation, and visionary leadership. Today, it stands as a dynamic hub of trade, investment, tourism, and cultural diversity—an exemplary society for peaceful coexistence and shared progress.

Pakistan and the UAE enjoy a deep, historic relationship based on shared faith, cultural affinity, geographical proximity, and mutual trust. The UAE has consistently stood by Pakistan through challenging times and has played a vital role in enhancing our bilateral economic and commercial ties.

The more than two million Pakistanis living in the UAE form one of the largest expatriate communities in the country. Their professionalism, hard work, and contributions across various sectors have further strengthened the bonds between our two nations. For them, the UAE is not just a workplace but a second home where they have found opportunities, respect, and growth.

Our economic partnership continues to expand, with Pakistan’s private sector actively exploring new avenues of cooperation with UAE counterparts. Recent engagements aimed at deepening collaboration in investment, infrastructure, and other key sectors reflect our shared commitment to advancing prosperity and opportunities for our peoples. The UAE remains Pakistan’s third-largest trading partner, and our collaboration continues to grow across multiple domains.

As the UAE celebrates this momentous national occasion, Pakistan reaffirms its resolve to further strengthen our longstanding partnership toward a future of shared progress and mutual benefit. We extend our warmest felicitations to the UAE on its remarkable journey and continued achievements.
