LAHORE: The Lahore Arts Council will open its three-day Alhamra Sufi Festival on Friday (today), beginning with the majestic exhibition “Whirling Lines of Sufi Wisdom,” a captivating presentation of calligraphy and artworks inspired by the spiritual depth of Sufi tradition.
The opening day will further include a distinguished panel discussion on “Youth, Intellectual Challenges, and the Teachings of Wasif Ali Wasif,” featuring renowned scholars and thinkers who will explore the enduring relevance of Sufi philosophy in contemporary life.
The day will conclude with the staging of “Maqsood e Kul Mein Hoon,” a dramatic production inspired by Allama Iqbal’s mystical vision.
Executive Director Alhamra Mahboob Alam noted that the festival embodies Alhamra’s mission to create meaningful spaces where art, wisdom, and community come together to inspire a deeper understanding of our shared values. The festival reflects Alhamra’s devotion to celebrating the spiritual heritage that has shaped our cultural identity for centuries, he added.
The Lahore Arts Council invites the public to join this inspiring opening day, marking the beginning of a profound three-day journey through Sufi art, dialogue, and performance.
