ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a “fruitful discussion” with Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister for Finance and National Economy of Bahrain, focusing on enhancing cooperation in the finance sector.
The meeting was held as a follow-up on the discussion between Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, PM and Deputy Supreme Commander of Bahrain, said a Foreign Office statement on Thursday.
Bahrain has made significant progress in Fintech and offered to share its expertise with the Pakistani banking sector. The two ministers discussed avenues of cooperation between the Central Banks of the two brotherly countries.
The two sides further decided to establish teams of relevant officials to chalk out a roadmap for future collaboration in the fields of finance, banking, commerce, and economy.
