KARACHI: The Director General of Health Sindh has issued the daily report regarding the dengue situation. According to the report, 50 new dengue patients were admitted to government hospitals across Sindh, while 33 more cases were reported in private hospitals.
The report stated that 16 new dengue patients were admitted to government hospitals in the Karachi division, while 22 new cases were reported in government hospitals in Hyderabad. It was further stated that during the past 24 hours, 63 patients recovered and were discharged from government hospitals, while 44 patients recovered in private hospitals.
According to the Director General of Health Sindh, no deaths due to dengue were reported in the province. A total of 5,070 people underwent dengue tests in public and private laboratories across the province, of which 559 tested positive.
Lab reports indicated that Karachi laboratories reported the highest number of positive cases — 347 — while 212 positive cases were reported from Hyderabad’s laboratories.
The Director General of Health Sindh urged citizens to take precautionary measures and to immediately visit the nearest hospital if they experience any symptoms.
