Pakistan condemns Israeli’s repeated violations against Palestinians

  • FO says such actions constitute a blatant violation of the international law and the relevant UN resolutions

Pakistan strongly condemned on Tuesday the continuing violations by the Israeli occupying forces, including repeated storming of the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and provocations against worshippers.

“Such actions constitute a blatant violation of the international law and the relevant UN resolutions,” the Foreign Office (FO) said in a statement today.

The press release said that it was imperative that the sanctity of the holy sites must be ensured in accordance with the international law and the historical status quo.

Israel quizzed at UN over torture allegations

“Pakistan calls upon the international community to take urgent and effective measures to ensure protection of the holy sites, prevent further settler violence and incursions, and uphold relevant UN resolutions.”

Earlier, Palestinian officials accused Israeli settlers of setting fire to a mosque in the territory.

Settler violence has surged in recent weeks across the West Bank, drawing international condemnation and even rare criticism from within the Israeli military and government.

Earlier this month, the UN’s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said that October 2025 was the worst month for settler violence since it began recording in 2006, with at least 264 attacks that caused casualties or property damage.

Meanwhile, in its statement, FO reiterated its principled position in support of a just, “comprehensive and lasting peace based on the Two-State solution, leading to the establishment of an independent, sovereign, viable and contiguous State of Palestine, based on pre-June 1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.”

Violence has surged across the West Bank since the war in Gaza broke out in October 2023.

At least 1,003 Palestinians, including militants, have been killed in the West Bank by Israeli forces or settlers since the war started, according to the Palestinian health ministry.

During the same period, 43 Israelis, including soldiers, have been killed in Palestinian attacks in the West Bank, according to official Israeli figures.
