YouTuber Saad ur Rehman seeking bail: Justice Farooq Haider referred petition to CJ LHC
LAHORE: Justice Farooq Haider of the Lahore High Court on Tuesday recused himself from hearing of a petition of YouTuber Saad ur Rehman alias Ducky Bhai seeking bail in a case of promoting an online gambling app.
The judge referred the petition to the Chief Justice LHC for its disposal by some other appropriate bench.
Earlier, an official of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) submitted a detail of the case.
The petitioner through his counsel contended that the NCCIA neither issued him any notice nor have any witness against him.
He also contended the co-accused in the same case are on bail and prayed to the court to accept his bail petition also.
An FIR had been registered against Ducky after credible reports emerged that several social media influencers were encouraging the public to invest in gambling and betting applications for their own financial gain.
