KARACHI: To mark the Breast Cancer Day, the Biomedical Engineering Department of Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET) in collaboration with PASTIC and EU project BIOMED 5.0, organised an impactful seminar on the topic “Beyond the cure, psychology, nutrition, and science in the fight against cancer”.

The event focused on breast cancer awareness and education, and brought together experts and community members i.e. Dr Yabinda, Dr Sundus Dastagir, Dr Qudsia Tariq, Dr Bilal Hassan, Dr Tahira Mohsin, Samar Abdi, Engr Aqsa to discuss the critical issues regarding breast cancer, its prevention, and treatment options. The Chief Guest of the event was Erum Akbar Ali Khan, Chairperson of Zakir Ali Khan Foundation.

We hope that such initiatives will bring about a positive change in the society and people will be able to make better decisions regarding health.

Being a focal person, Chairperson of the Biomedical Engineering Department, Prof. Dr Sidra Abid Syed, played a pivotal role in arranging this program. In her vote of thanks, she emphasized the department’s dedication to raising awareness about vital health issues and fostering knowledge sharing.
