PM Shehbaz hosts dinner for coalition senators, lauds unity on 27th amendment

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday hosted a dinner in honour of senators from the government and allied parties, expressing gratitude for their cooperation in the passage of the 27th Constitutional Amendment.

Addressing the gathering, the prime minister welcomed the senators and thanked them for their “constructive role and support” throughout the amendment’s approval process.

He also extended appreciation to President Asif Ali Zardari and the heads of all coalition parties for their “national spirit and collective efforts” in strengthening democratic and constitutional harmony.

“All allied parties have stood firmly by the government in advancing this national vision,” Shehbaz said, adding that the 27th amendment reflected the shared commitment to strengthen the federation, promote inter-provincial harmony, and improve governance.

Highlighting the government’s achievements, the premier said all milestones reached during the current administration were the result of close coordination and mutual trust among coalition partners.

“The world is witnessing Pakistan’s diplomatic successes, which mirror the unity and understanding among allied parties,” he said.

Shehbaz noted that Pakistan’s economic indicators were showing gradual improvement and credited political and economic stability for putting the country “back on the right track.”

“With collective resolve and unity, Pakistan has regained its direction,” he said, urging continued joint efforts for the nation’s progress and prosperity.
