KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 391,460 tonnes of cargo comprising 290.061 tonnes of import cargo and 101,399 tonnes of export cargo during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 290,061Tons comprised of 132,768 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 25,832 tonnes of Bulk Cargo,2,895 tonnes of Ammonium Sulphate, 1,158 tonnes of (Dap), 5,855 tonnes of Sugar, & 121,553 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 101,399 tonnes comprised of 76,492 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 200 tonnes of B, Bulk Cargo, 12,458 tonnes of Cement, & 7,754 tonnes of Clinkers, 4,495 tonnes of Rice.
As many as, 07 ships, Seaspan Brilliance, Ocean Fairy, Kiran Marmara, Seaspan Santos, Konrad, Cosco New York, & Al Soor Ii, berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Around, 08 ships namely, Navios Jasmine, Wan Hai 623,Zervos, Cma Cgm Hydra, Ami, Star Stamford, & Seaspan Santos, sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of nine ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a Grain carrier ‘Melbourn Spirit’ left the port on Monday morning, while six more ships, MSC Tia-V, Hong Yong Cheng Sheng, Velery Roma, Maya Gas-1, Adriatic Gas and Famiglia are expected to sail on Monday.
Cargo volume of147,379 tonnes, comprising 110,940 tonnes imports cargo and36,439 export cargo carried in 3,947 Containers (2,503 TEUs Imports & 1,444 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 06 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them two ships, Auturus and Hong Young Cheng Sheng & four more ships, MSC Daisy, Seaspan Santos, Fortune Aqua and Fairchem Path Finder carrying Palm oil, Container, Yellow Peas and Chemicals are expected to take berths at LCT, QICT, FAP and EVTL on Monday 3rd November, 2025.
