ISLAMABAD: Guliafshan, a passionate Pakistani motorcyclist and adventurer, has set out on a historic world motorcycle journey, becoming the first woman from Pakistan to attempt a global ride on two wheels.
Setting off from Scotland on October 4, 2025, Guliafshan’s journey begins with the iconic North Coast 500 (NC500) — one of the world’s most scenic routes — before she travels through major cities and routes across the United Kingdom, reaching the southernmost tip of England.
Her mission, aptly titled “Wheels for Freedom,” symbolizes both a personal dream and a powerful message of women’s empowerment, freedom, and unity through adventure.
“This ride is not just about me — it’s about showing what women from Pakistan are capable of, and how far courage and passion can take you,” said Guliafshan before starting her expedition.
In early 2026, Guliafshan will embark on the first major international leg of her tour, riding from London through mainland Europe — covering France, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, Turkey, Iran, and Afghanistan — before completing this leg in Pakistan.
Her second phase will begin from Egypt, crossing the Middle East and Saudi Arabia, with a long-term goal to ride across all continents in the coming years.
