MUMBAI: Fiscal deficit for 2024-25 was 100.5% of the fiscal year target, data released on Friday showed.
In February, the Indian government set the 2024-25 fiscal deficit target at 4.8% of gross domestic product and aimed to lower it to 4.4% in the current fiscal year. The government did not provide fiscal deficit data as a percentage of the GDP.
