Sanatzar Expo 2024
To advance the Chief Minister’s vision of women’s economic empowerment, eight divisional exhibitions were held across Punjab in November 2024, culminating in a grand provincial exhibition in Lahore in December.
Over 200 women entrepreneurs showcased their products, generating sales exceeding Rs. 2 million. Additionally, more than 35,000 women received training in diverse skills, while 5,000 were trained in digital literacy, e-commerce, and marketing. Plans are underway to integrate Sanatzar with platforms such as WEXNET under TDAP to elevate women-led enterprises to national and international levels.
Observance of International Days
In collaboration with UN agencies and international partners, the department observed significant events such as International Children’s Day, International Day for Persons with Disabilities, and the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence. These events successfully raised awareness and inspired actionable solutions to critical societal issues.
Collaborations and Future Plans
The department has established strategic partnerships with governmental bodies, educational institutions, chambers of commerce, banks, and private sector organizations. Looking ahead, the government plans to expand its infrastructure by establishing more skill development centers for PWDs, strengthening the enforcement of the 3% employment quota, and scaling women entrepreneurship models to national and international platforms. Efforts to institutionalize protections against gender-based violence and support marginalized communities will also remain a priority.
Through these visionary initiatives, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is leading a social revolution in Punjab, setting new benchmarks for compassion, equity, and social progress. Her unwavering commitment to social welfare is fostering a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
