Ghana 2024/25 G&S cocoa purchases up about 58% by Dec. 12, COCOBOD says

ABIDJAN: Ghana’s graded and sealed (G&S) cocoa purchases since the start of the harvest on Sept. 11 had reached 366,075 metric tons by Dec. 12, up 57.7% from the same period of the previous season, figures from marketing board COCOBOD showed on Thursday.

Cocoa rises on tightening supply

G&S is cocoa that has been quality checked and sealed in bags by COCOBOD and is ready to be shipped.

Cocoa production in Ghana is expected to reach 650,000 tons this season, COCOBOD has forecast.
