Gold inches down; silver firm

KARACHI: Gold prices on Friday fell an inch on the local market but silver stood firm, traders said.

The yellow metal lost Rs600 and Rs514, receding to Rs245000 per tola and Rs210048 per 10 grams, respectively.

On the world market, gold was selling for $2384 per ounce while silver was traded for $29.77 per ounce, traders added.

Locally, silver was available for the unchanged Rs2730 per tola and Rs2340.53 per 10 grams.
