HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks opened slightly higher Friday morning as investors returned from a midweek break to play catch-up with the previous day’s gains in Asia.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.38 percent, or 62.83 points, to 16,787.93.

Mainland Chinese markets are closed for a holiday.
