HYDERABAD: A team of Sindh Food Authority Hyderabad (SFAH), under the direction of Director General Sindh Food Authority Agha Fakhar Hussain, have taken action against the manufacturers of sub-standard ghee and sealed off the domestic factory while four maunds of sub-standard ghee was also wasted.
Deputy Director Hyderabad Fida Hussain Khoso along with his team, has sealed the domestic factory of unhealthy and substandard ghee.
The factory was operating in a house in Panyari police station limits.
During the operation, workers of non-standard ghee manufacturers also attacked the team of Sindh Food Authority with sticks, but the accused escaped when the team of Sindh Food Authority resisted.
The team of Sindh Food Authority also wasted four maunds of sub-standard ghee while the equipments for making sub-standard ghee were also seized.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Director Sindh Food Authority Hyderabad Fida Hussain Khoso has said that strict action is being taken against those who make and sell unhealthy and sub- standard ghee and oil.
Meanwhile Director General Sindh Food Authority Agha Fakhar Hussain has indicated to take strict action against those who adulterate food items.
