ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has directed that the process of privatisation of the PIA and outsourcing of airport operations should be accelerated in a transparent manner.

Adviser on Aviation Air Marshal Farhat Hussain (retired) met with the caretaker prime minister and informed him about the affairs of the ministry and the reforms in the aviation sector of the government.

The caretaker premier was also informed about the progress on the process of privatisation of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and outsourcing of airport operations.

Kakar directed that the process of privatisation of PIA and outsourcing of airport operations should be accelerated and transparency should be given a central position in it. He added that there is a vast potential for investment in Pakistan’s aviation sector and one of the top priorities of the government is to protect the national kitty from further damage by privatising the institutions that are causing damage to the national treasury.

Who will buy it? they don't have good fleet neither market name, only have huge Staff and someone will come to pay them salary, otherwise they go on strike too!

All potential buyers/investors should keep in mind that as of now, all provincial and federal caretaker setups are illegal and operating out of scope of the constitution of Pakistan. Their life was only 90 days which they have exceeded by far and so are completely illegal. The only government which can decide these matters will be one which is elected in a free and fair election by the people of Pakistan. If the elections are a sham as they are building up to be, the next government will also be illegal and not representative of the will of the people of Pakistan.

This govt has no right to sell nation assets. Their only job to have free and fare elections. They are working in establishing instruction. They will take the money and will runaway.if anyone making a deal with this govr that will be illegal deal. Their tenure is already long over. Illegal govt.
