Ugandan shilling stable, to weaken due to energy sector FX demand

KAMPALA: The Ugandan shilling was unchanged on Thursday but was biased to weaken on the back of increased appetite for dollars from the energy sector and other goods importers, traders said.

Ugandan shilling stable, commodity dollar inflows lend support

At 0743 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at 3,805/3,815 per dollar, unchanged from Wednesday’s closing rate.
