KARACHI :Industrialists of SITE area, Karachi, have highly appreciated the measures already taken as well as those about to taken by Sindh Caretaker Chief Minister Former Justice Maqbool Baqar and Sindh Minister for Industries, Commerce & Revenue Muhammad Younus Dagha, for providing an investment and industry friendly environment in the Sindh province in general and in Karachi, in particular.

SITE Association of Industry’s President Muhammad Kamran Arbi, referring to the meeting held last week at the CM House at which, representatives from all concerned government departments and Presidents of town associations along with other relevant stakeholders were invited, stated that the Sindh Minister for Industries Muhammad Younus Dagha voiced the issues being faced by industries before the CM Sindh in a very effective manner, for which, he deserves a lot of appreciation. In the same vein, the Chief Minister Sindh was kind enough to take immediate decisions on many issues and also defined responsibilities and jurisdiction to the heads of various departments so that they focus on their own work to increase performance, he added.

Patron-in-Chief SITE Association of Industry Zubair Motiwala also present at the meeting greatly appreciated the positive attitude and steps being taken by both the Sindh Chief Minister, and Sindh Minister for Industries.

Issues of industries of SITE area which inter-alia came under discussion included supply of water to industries, laying of water pipeline from Hub Dam to SITE area, gas tariff issue and setting up of Combined Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP), to which, the CM Sindh directed to the concerned secretary to send him summaries of the schemes and call a separate meeting within a few days to discuss CETP related issues.
