SFL says its is committed to highest food safety, quality standards

KARACHI: Sunridge Foods Limited (SFL) is committed to provide safe and fortified nutrition to Pakistan through its products, top company officials said on Tuesday.

The Sunridge Factory stands out as the sole flour mill in Pakistan to utilize the advanced PESA Mill, a Swiss technology that enables 100 percent automated flour processing without human intervention, Farrukh Amin, CEO SFL said while briefing the media persons who visited the factory.

He said this cutting-edge technology plays a vital role in upholding the highest standards of food safety and quality. With 25 stringent quality control checks in place, including hourly flour checks, final product inspections, and SAP-backed batch releases, every step is meticulously monitored.

This ensures that SFL products consistently meet the highest standards from start to finish, he said. “With automated packing processes in place, we guarantee top-tier quality and safety throughout our operations”, he said adding that SFL continuously strives to exceed expectations by prioritising food safety protocols, embracing innovative technologies, and upholding the highest quality standards.

Unity Foods acquired Sunridge in 2020, with its first production being Sunridge Whole Wheat Flour.

Sunridge Foods Limited, a subsidiary of Unity Foods Limited began its launch operations from Port Qasim, Karachi in 2015 and launched its first product in 2017 by the name of Sunridge Whole Wheat Flour. Over the years, it has been successfully producing high quality whole wheat flour with all its natural fibre, vitamins and minerals, fulfilling a major portion of every household’s nutritional needs.

The milling process consistently delivers high quality of whole wheat flour, removing all traces of dirt, bacteria and other impurities, giving pure goodness to every meal. It has also been certified by PSQCA (Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority) as a whole-wheat flour, while assuring their customers that their ‘rotis’ will remain soft and fresh for 6 hours.
