Rs7.50 hike in power tariff formally approved

ISLAMABAD: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has formally approved increase of Rs 7.50 per unit in electricity tariff across the country to be applicable from July 1, 2023.

The Power Regulator has sent it’s determination to Power Division for notification in official gazette of Pakistan.

NEPRA conducted a public hearing on Power Division’s application meant to amend it’s decision of Rs. 4.96 per unit across the board after adjustment of Rs 158 billion subsidy to protect lower income group residential consumers.
