The Pakistan Interfaith League (PIL) joined the nation-wide protests condemning the sacrilegious movie that sparked global protests by staging a peaceful protest demonstration here on Thursday. The PIL Chairman, Sajid Ishaq Sandhu, while addressing the rally participated by over 500 Christian families of Mera Badi and other Christians, strongly condemned the making of the movie as well as its screening and then allowing that to be uploaded on the 'YouTube'.
"This is an insane act of provocation, which has deeply hurt the minds and souls of our Muslim brethren all over the world. We understand their feelings and we stand beside them in condemning this outrageous attempt aimed at hurting the religious sentiments of Muslims," he said.
"We have gathered here to show our Muslim brethren all over the world that we understand how deeply they are hurt and we want to share their anguish and grief caused by the making of this sacrilegious movie. We are here today and we will continue to be part of the peaceful protests in future as well to condemn this attempt to create a wedge between the Muslims and the non-Muslim communities the world over," the PIL Chairman said.-PR
