KARACHI: Gold prices continued to surge on Thursday on the local market, traders said.

It posted an increase of Rs 2000 to grow to Rs 124200 per told.

The price of the yellow metal reached Rs 106,481 per 10 grams, up by Rs 1714. Gold value on the world stage was cited for $1785 an ounce.

Silver remained unchanged for Rs 1470 per tola, Rs 1260.28 per 10 grams and $24.28 an ounce, traders added.
