LAHORE: While the European Union (EU) is going to review the extension of GSP Plus status for Pakistan, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar is paying a 10-day visit to Europe at the special invitation of European Parliament Vice President Dr Fabio Masimmo Castaldo.

During the visit, EU parliamentarians will be taken into confidence regarding review of GSP plus status extension for Pakistan. The Governor Punjab, Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has left for Europe where he will hold meetings with the vice-president of the European Union, Monitoring Commission EU and members of EU Parliament. He will also visit the European Parliament on October 13, 2021.

He will also meet representatives of human rights organizations and highlight the Kashmir issue, ongoing atrocities in Palestine, Indian conspiracies against peace and Pakistan's involvement in Afghanistan peace process. He will also highlight the role played by Pakistan for peace in the region.

The Governor Sarwar said that India was spreading negative propaganda against Pakistan in the European Union but Pakistan had thwarted India's nefarious designs in the past through its successful strategy and would continue to foil them in future as well. He said that the issue of extension of GSP Plus status for Pakistan will be resolved soon.

"Pakistan under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan advocates peace not only in Afghanistan but in the whole world, but unfortunately India has been the biggest enemy of peace in the region from day one, adding that innocent Kashmiris are being massacred in IIOJK," he said.
