KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 336,667 tonnes of cargos comprising 235,596 tonnes of import cargos and 101,071 tonnes of export cargos during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargos of 235,596 comprised of 117,547 tonnes of Containerized Cargos, 31,402 tonnes of Bulk Cargos, 5,546 tonnes of Chick Peas, 6,514 tonnes of DAP, 13,195 tonnes of Rock Phosphate, 17,065 tonnes of Soya Beans Seeds and 44,327 tonnes of Oil/Liquid Cargos
The total export cargos of 101,071 tonnes comprised of 68,964 tonnes of containerized cargos, 217 tonnes of Bulk Cargos, 11,990 tonnes of Clinkers, 19,900 tonnes of Mill Scale.
A total of 10763 containers were handled out of which 5338 were of imports and 5425 were of exports. 5338 import containers comprised of 1609 of 20s and 1693 0f 40s. Imports empty containers were 19 of 20s and 162 of 40s. Export containers 5425 comprised of 1133 of 20s and 872 of 40s. Export empty containers were of 880 of 20s and 834 of 40s.
There were 14 vessels viz. Hyundai Privilege, Hai Nam 89, Hai UYandg Zhi Hua, Northern Dexterity Cosco Aden, Mayssan, Mol Globe, Pacific Venture, Teera Bjum, MT Lahore, Chem Patriot, Tomini Integrity, Cornellai and Thorsky have currently berthed at Karachi Port on Monday.
There are nine vessels viz. JSP Vento, Sovereign, GMB Artemis, Maritime, Kelly Anne, Oel Kedarnath, Huundai Privilege, Al Mahboobah, Northern Dexterity and Run FU 3 have sailed out from Karachi Port on Monday.
There were nine ships namely Eastern Chemi, Mid Eagle, Kota Nilam, As Sicilia, Independent Spirit, Greenwich Bridge, Fly Tie, Demeter Leader, Jia Xiang Da cargo expected to arrive on Monday.
PORT QASIM
A cargo volume of 116,367 tonnes, comprising 81,311 tonnes imports cargo and 35,056 tonnes export cargo, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3,177 Containers (1,614 TEUs imports and 1,563 TEUs export), was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
Following were the high lights in tonnes during last 24 hours.
A total of fourteen ships are currently at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim and waiting for berths, out of them four ships MSC Silvana, African Baza, Baranee Naree and Lobito & another ship, Maersk Brooklyn scheduled to load/offload Containers, Cement, Coal and Natural gas are expected take berths at QICT, MW-1, PIBT and PGPCL on Monday, 26th April, while two more ships, MSC Lucy and Maersk Pittsburgh with Containers are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Tuesday, 27th April-2021.
