Gold up by Rs1,000 per tola

KARACHI: The price of gold on Thursday rose by Rs1,000 per tola on the local market, traders said. An increase in the yellow metal price drove it to Rs114,600 per tola. Value of gold per 10 grams also grew by Rs857 to Rs98,251 on the domestic market.

On the world market, gold was quoted at $1,918 an ounce, up by 27. Silver was available for Rs1220 per tola, up by Rs20; Rs1045.95 per 10 grams, up by Rs17.15 and $24.52 per ounce, traders said.
