Our vision is to become a healthier, longer-lasting global corporation. As a technology company, we believe that our duty is to create goods and technology that contribute to the progress of the world, and vivo finds its place in the world by catering to this belief. This was the one vivo ideology that I keep very close to my heart and used this to build vivo Pakistan when we entered the country just three years ago. I sincerely believe that technology can be used to build a close-knit community and should be accessible for everyone making lives easier.
This belief truly came to practice when the world came to a standstill in the early months of 2020 because of the pandemic. Everything that we knew had to be changed and adjusted to what the world now calls ‘the new normal’. Our first priority was safety and health. We did not want any of our customers as well as employees to face inconvenience. We took all the necessary steps such as extending our product warranty for consumers and continuing business by operating work from home. In our efforts to extend our support to the health workers and government officials, we donated masks to the Pakistan government.
The smartphone market in 2020 has been on a rollercoaster journey in terms of worldwide sales. But with great pride, I can say that Pakistan’s smartphone market has been steady in 2020 for vivo, indicating Pakistan’s trust in vivo. This allows us to strive for better as we know that people rely on us, trust us to make the best technology at affordable prices and we are happy to always deliver on this.
In my three years as the CEO of vivo Pakistan, I’ve had only two goals – one was to get the best of technology to the people across Pakistan as much as possible and the other was to make my employees happy and proud to be part of this big global entity. vivo’s consistently good track record in Pakistan, despite being a very young brand in the country, is a testament to the notion that I am able to achieve this goal with support. vivo has been releasing new smartphones and collaborating with talented artists to cater to the audience.
Our main goal as an organisation is to bring latest smartphones tailored to the local needs of the Pakistani audience. Our latest premium smartphone, vivo V20 is a perfect fit for the trendy and stylish Pakistani youth. We closely studied the patterns and analysed what the youth is looking for in a phone, before bringing V20 to the market. The sleekest body with a super-powerful camera for selfies and slo-mo videos that the vivo V20 carries are all consequences of our research and observation. The vivo Pakistan team has worked really hard to bring this phone to the people amidst a pandemic. Hopefully, we will again get the same amount of love for V20 as we have been getting in Pakistan in the past few years.
