US President Donald Trump during the final debate with Democratic challenger Joe Biden, termed the air in India 'filthy'.
The final debate between Trump and Biden took place on Friday in which they sparred on coronavirus strategies, leadership styles, racism and climate change. Responding to accusations regarding climate change, Trump said the US has done an incredible job environmentally and has the lowest carbon emissions which is a big standard which former president Barack Obama.
"Look at China, how filthy it is. Look at Russia, look at India -- it’s filthy. The air is filthy," Trump said at the debate in Nashville.
"We have the trillion trees programme. We have so many different programmes. I do love the environment and what I do want is crystal clear air and water," Trump said.
In his turn, Biden said that climate change is an existential threat to humanity, and 'we have a moral obligation towards it'.
"Four more years of this man [Trump], all those regulations will be eliminated that were put in to clean up the climate and to limit the emissions," Biden said.
