iPhone 12 is launching next week: Here is Everything we know

Apple will announce the iPhone 12 next week on the 13th of October. It is rumoured that Apple will bring out four different variant sets of the iPhone 12. Here is a round up of all the specs, features, and design details for iPhone 12 so far.

What will iPhone 12 look like?

Reports suggest that Apple is planning to bring the iPhone 4 slab-sided design back this year. The new device is expected to heavily resemble the iPhone 4, with some design features from last year’s model.

The boxier industrial design of iPhone 4 with squared-off edges was also used for iPad Pro, which was very well-received by users. It is no surprise that Apple is planning to bring it back this year.

On the other hand, the front-side of the iPhone 12 will look almost identical to the iPhone 11. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has reported that iPhone 12 will still feature curved glass edges around the display like iPhone11. The 2020 iPhone is also expected to have a 2/2.5D glass and Apple is planning to reduce the notch size for this year.

However, iPhone 12 will be slimmer than the last model. The largest iPhone 12 model is expected to be 7.4mm thick, which is about 10% thinner than the 8.1mm iPhone 11 Pro Max.

All four models of the 2020 iPhone will have the OLED display technology for the first time ever. It is also rumoured that iPhone 12 will support a 120Hz refresh rate “ProMotion” display which will improve the responsiveness of the user experience.

What is new with the iPhone 12 camera?

How much will it cost you?

A report from Bloomberg suggests that the new flat-edged design might only be featured in the iPhone 12 Pro models at the high-end.

In terms of price, iPhone 11 started at $699, iPhone 11 Pro started at $999 and iPhone 11 Pro Max started at $1,099.

With new and better technology upgrades, the 5G iPhone 12 is rumoured to be priced higher around $699 for 64GB of storage and $749 for 128GB.
