After reviewing the coronavirus situation in the country, the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) has allowed the resumption of secondary classes from September 23.

A meeting chaired by Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar was held in Islamabad today. The meeting decided to reopen middle schools as per decided earlier.

However, Sindh which had decided not to reopen middle schools on September 22, has announced that secondary classes will resume on September 28.

22 educational institutions shut down for violating SOPs: NCOC

In a presser today, the provincial Education Minister Saeed Ghani said that the decision not to resume classes was made as negligence was seen in the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures.

On September 15, universities, colleges and schools for students of class 9 and 10 were reopened across Pakistan.
