Uganda shilling stable ahead of key rate announcement

KAMPALA: The Ugandan shilling was stable on Monday ahead of the central bank's announcement of its latest policy rate, that analysts expect will be unchanged after it was slashed by 100 basis points in June.

At 0809GMT commercial banks quoted the shilling at 3,675/3,685, same level as Friday's close.
