NSS profit rates increase marginally
- Whereas, the rate of return on Defense Savings Certificates increased by 34 basis points and the rate of return was increased from 8.11pc to 8.45pc.
The rate of return on National Savings Certificates has been revised and the Finance Ministry has issued a notification in this regard.
As per the notification, the rate of return on Behbood Savings Certificates has been increased by 36 basis points from 9.96 percent to 10.32pc. The rate of return on Pensioners Benefit Accounts has been increased by 36 basis points from 9.96pc to 10.32pc.
Whereas, the rate of return on Defense Savings Certificates increased by 34 basis points and the rate of return was increased from 8.11pc to 8.45pc.
The rate of return on regular income certificates has been increased by 19 basis points from 7.61pc to 7.80pc.
Meanwhile, the rate of return on Special Savings Certificate Accounts has been reduced by 18 basis points to 6.87pc from 7.05%. The new rate of return will take effect on August 4.
