Advisor to Prime Minister on Trade Abdul Razzak Dawood held a meeting with Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) discussing recommendations for enhancing Information Technology (IT) exports and global competitiveness.

In a tweet post on Friday, Dawood said: “I had a very productive meeting with P@SHA in which we discussed recommendations for enhancing IT exports and global competitiveness. Pakistan has a huge competitive edge in terms of a skilled human resource and a strong IT infrastructure supported by rising demands in international as well as domestic market.”

The advisor added that the Ministry of Commerce and P@SHA will work closely together for the implementation of reforms and the promotion of IT exports.

P@SHA a trade body of software houses recommended a 5 percent cash incentive on exports till 2025. The trade body was of the view that the incentive would help in neutralizing the impact of depreciating rupee. It also proposed that the government organizations to outsource rather than compete with the private sector.
