Punjab govt to ensure availability of flour at official rate

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar has directed authorities to ensure availability of flour at fixed price across the province.

CM Bazdar while issuing instructions to improve the supply of flour in the market and ensuring the sale of flour bags at a fixed price, said that he would not tolerate any hindrance in making available flour bags to the people at government rates. The availability of flour bags at the official price should be implemented in all cases.

Usman Bazdar, while ordering action against the flour hoarders, said that they would not allow the hoarding mafia to exploit the people. Food department officials and administrative officers should go out in the field and review the situation in the markets. Action should be taken against profiteers, he said.

The Punjab Chief Minister further said that despite the crushing of government wheat, the self-imposed increase in the price of flour bags was unacceptable.
