198,509 people have recovered from COVID-19 in Pakistan

The total number of people to recover from the novel coronavirus in Pakistan has climbed to 198,509.

During the past 24 hours, 1,918 new coronavirus cases were reported across Pakistan taking the tally to 261,917. So far, 111,238 cases have been reported in Sindh, 89,465 in Punjab, 31,669 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 11,405 in Balochistan.

Similarly, 14,504 infections have been reported in Islamabad, 1,796 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 1840 in Azad Kashmir.Currently, there are 57,886 active cases.

During the last 24 hours, 47 more patients died from the disease taking the death toll to 5,522.

Meanwhile, coronavirus cases around the world have topped 14 million and over 600,000 deaths have been reported. The United States, Brazil and India top the list with the highest number of COVID-19 cases.
