KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Friday at 21,566.45 points with a negative change of -39.44 and volume of 136,931,000 shares. High and Low were 21,669.22 and 21,423.91 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 13 were up, 17 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 240,969,610 shares. Total companies traded were 365 of which 173 were positive, 178 were negative and 14 were unchanged.

Technology and Communication was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 46,358,500 shares. It was followed by Cement with a total traded volume of 35,994,600 shares.

The top three advancers were Unilever Pakistan Food Limited with a volume of 260 and price per share of 7,315.03 (348.03), Bata Pakistan Limited with a volume of 300 and price per share of 2,452.27 (116.23), Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 1,320 and price per share of 2,147.92 (102.28).

The top three decliners were Colgate-Palmolive (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 140 and price per share of 2,800 (-90.00), Sanofi-Aventis Pakistan Limited with a volume of 140 and price per share of 1,243.50 (-36.40), National Refinery Limited with a volume of 159,600 and price per share of 430.87 (-19.94).
