CHICAGO: Corn and soybean cash basis bids were mostly steady in the US Midwest interior on Friday while bids at river locations showed mixed changes, dealers said.
Farmer sales of soybeans, corn and wheat were quiet following a light bump in soybean offerings earlier this week as Chicago Board of Trade January soybean futures traded above $10 a bushel.
The contract has since slipped below that level, hitting $9.87-1/4 a bushel by 12:24 p.m. CST (1824 GMT) Friday.
Bids eased at a river terminal in Davenport, Iowa, where barge loadings are halting until spring due to the seasonal closure of some locks for maintenance and before waters freeze.
